drama here and there™

so, life after spm was bored and boredom brings me to queensbay. queensbay is getting boring since wherever we go, we’re still there. boring! other malls is like, gurney plaza, 40 minutes away (by car) or bukit jambul which is now so called as an international shopping complex where we can find mat salleh, bang indon, mat bangla, pak nepal and such. there are also local people so went there to search for pirates cds. nowadays pirates are hard to find, since those level 4 and level 5 shops are often closed. night market in batu feringghi is not popular with pirates aka ciplak cds, polo shirts, levi’s jeans which really looked like a pirated ones for only, less than rm50! (if and if only you know how to bargain) well, you can also look for branded watches which costs you only rm120 where you can ask it for only rm20 if you could speak like mami tanjung. souvenirs are really cheap there, but if you go to penang bazaar or mydin which is located right in front of penang bazaar and chowrasta market there are also cheap souvenirs and no pirates cd there.

why am i describing penang? lol, got nothing much to talk bout life lately. but anyway, im looking for a sims 2 game, i wanna reinstall it to my pc since the tmnet streamyx is now getting slower from day to another. by installing the cd perhaps i could play the game that was installed into this pc 2 years back and was deleted by my beloved bung ajahan last year. kejam ja. well, whatever im writing right now got nothing to do with the title. yes i know.

so now let’s talk bout the title. actually, i’ve been into a romantic young adult novel. it’s not that romantic, cause im not a jiwang karat. lol. it’s entitled Confessions Of A Boyfriend Stealer. the book was a really nice one, love it so much. i’ve read till, page 30 i can say? wanted to buy it, which costs me RM31.90 only. lol. only.

i want this book so badly! yes, it’s kind of blog thingy. it’s really nice one!

a review by Kimberly PauleySo, did Genesis Bell really steal the boyfriends away from her best friends? Or is there another side to the story? Genesis wants to get out the truth, so she starts a blog and confesses all. See, she was part of the clique at school: The Terribles. Her best friends were CJ (the ring leader) and Tasha. But they never really treated her like a true Terrible. She felt more like the one that cleaned up after their messes; the one that never got the guy – she only got to console them when CJ or Tasha walked all over them.

All that starts to change when Nick, CJ’s boyfriend and a total player, tries to make nice with Genesis. She’s confused and flattered at first, but soon other emotions start to appear (like anger and betrayal) when she tries to come clean to CJ and gets laughed at (as if!) instead. She’s had their backs for years and now the Terribles seem to be turning on her.

And then there’s Chi, Tasha’s very lovable and very cute boyfriend who turns to Genesis for comfort whenever Tasha cheats on him (which is all the time!). He’s definitely not like Nick. And maybe, just maybe, he’s starting to see the light.

Told through blog entries, the reader follows along on a wild ride. Given that the blog is supposedly started a few months after all the events, it does distance the reader some from the story. I think I would have enjoyed it even more if it hadn’t been in blog format. The blog readers who leave comments at the end of each chapter are also a little distracting and don’t add much to the story. But, other than those small things, this is a very fast and fun read.

While I’m not a fan of boyfriend stealers, I’m definitely a fan of Genesis. Shoot, I haven’t even told you yet about some of the more interesting parts of the story – her family. The Bell family is….well, you’ll just have to see for yourself. They defy description and the scenes in which they appear are some of the funniest in the book.

Recommended for ages 12 and up.

all i can say is.. wallawei! never thought of all these. thanks to all them. huge thanks. ok, so let’s start from earlier.

woke up at 7.30am since i slept at 11.45pm plus last night. 2 misscalls from unknown number, kl-ers number i can say? +0162 and +0123 or something like that. replied those 14 messages. the first one to wish was adzraii of course, at 11.55 kak meng (i guess cause the message sounds like her words) followed by homies like i have written in older post. i spent over rm8-10 in these 2 days, for today’s outing, replied birthday wishes and stuffs.

so, all of us met at Sunshine Square Cosmic Leisure Bowl at 12.30pm (i was a little late) then we started the game. So, we wanted to buy 8 games at first, and then the ‘abang’ and the ‘uncle’ said that if we buy 10 games, we’ll only have to pay like rm3.50/game instead of rm4.50/game. so, i discussed with them, and they said, ok. 10 games, 8 shoes, total up it was rm43. i paid, since i’ve got my first ever salary, which was rm72. and yes, im teaching mat salleh and minah salleh which is Canadian people, Mr&Mrs Ed. i got paid for rm12 per hour, 2 hours per day. i started on wednesday, and they will pay me every end of the week. Back to the story, confirmed players was Shuhada (me), Hazureen, Ezza, Najwa, Noraini, Syahril, Wati (najwa’s sis) and Hardiana. After we have entered the names and suddenly Razaleigh arrived. when he saw us having fun, suddenly he said wei aku rasa mcm nak main la.. and so then i offered him to play, since there was 2 extra games. another one was played by najwa. had lots of fun there, chatted, gossiping together till hardiana came next, followed by iqhwan and zamir.

earlier, we planned to ride RapidPG together, but suddenly all the girls asked me to ride zamir’s cute little sutera (cls) which was sent to carwash. so after the games we had some light lunch at mcd, and had some drinks cause i was damn thirsty since i ever arrived sunshine square. 1 1/2 hour after zamir sent his CLS, the car wasn’t washed, yet! so then we decided to send it to another shop or something else. next, we went to hidayah’s house to fetch her, then straight away to queensbay.

as we arrived, i texted hazureen but no answer. she doesn’t have credit so i called her, and she said they was still inside the bus. they waited for so long. preety good for me but pity them that they had to wait for so long. so then all of us (iqhwan, me, zamir, razaleigh, hidayah and hardiana) walked around and finally stopped at borders. i wanted to buy the Confessions Of A Boyfriend Stealer which costs like RM31.90. it was kinda blog-printed-story and i love the story so much. and another one was Loves Me, Loves Me Not and costs RM36.90. grr. if and if only i have cashes. x(

so then i received a text by noraini saying that the has just arrived Queensbay. then we walked to Pizza Hut to have our wonderful lunch. there was no empty seat, so we waited. while waiting, I bought a 60% Classic Dark Choc from Jusco. Seriously t’was great choc. then we went inside, and ordered, and sit, and waited for the others. then hardiana, hidayah, zamir and razaleigh came in bringing a big huge plain cardboard. had no idea what was that huge thing. while chatting and joking and gossiping with razaleigh and zamir i heard a happy birthday song. Nothing much that i could do either than smile. smiled and smiled till then everyone applause. a pizza guy gave me a pancake or something that i don’t-know-what-that-stuff-was. anyway t’was nice, got strawberry jam and also a blueberry jam on top of it. i seriously didn’t expect a surprise birthday party and it was awesome and i didn’t know even one thing! thanks so much girls. love all of you! i was told that the one who planned was cik hazureen yang kiut. t’was a great one. nothing else i could ever say. picto’s will be uploaded very very soon.

after the great lunch, we separated since Ezza, Noraini, Najwa and Hazureen wanted to apply some jobs. while me, hardiana, hidayah, iqhwan, zamir and razaleigh went to Popular Book Store, not to buy books, but buying the lovely SqueezePop. then we went to centre court to watch High School Musical audition for kids. called hazureen cause i had forgotten my stuffs inside her handbag. met her in front of s&j, and took the stuffs i left, while hardiana, hidayah, zamir and razaleigh went to toilet. me, iqhwan and hazureen went searching for a seat. then we saw a bench in front of Extreme and then we sit. after long 10 minutes, they came and we was thinking of to go Pesta Pulau Pinang. zamir had problem with transportation while iqhwan had problem with going out so often. razaleigh need to practice for his tomorrow’s audition while me, hazureen, hardiana and hidayah wanted to go tonight. we hoped that there is at least some guys to follow us and be a-free-bodyguard-for-a-little while. the plan wasn’t success since zamir and iqhwan couldn’t make it. went home, rested for a while, texted adzraii since i asked iqhwan to do me a favor, which was to become a postman. thanks iwan =)

so, that was my very long post for my very happening birthday. t’was really a sweet seventeen. thanks so much guys.
